I'm considering doing something like this to jumpstart a weight loss plateau.

Have 1 or 2 days a week be TDR.

Those shakes definitely work!

Yes, couple ways to make it less extreme. Either 1–3 days per week of TDR, or replacing 1 meal per day with a low-calorie meal replacement shake.
